How it works
Unlike BOTOX® Cosmetic, which smoothes dynamic wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles, facial fillers occupy physical space and are classified as “medical devices”. There are several types of injectable fillers, all of which augment or restore volume and structure. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers such as the Juvéderm® and Restylane® are the most popular and they have a broad range of applications. Unlike HA’s that provide instant volume, Sculptra stimulates your body to create its own volume over the course of several months with the benefit of lasting longer. Radiesse is a calcium based filler that that does both, creating instant volume and acts as a bio stimulant.
Expertise and artistic sense are critical in obtaining deserved results. Dr. LaFrance utilizes the revolutionary micro-cannula injection technique for most injectable treatments. Only a few practitioners are experienced and trained in this technique.
The advantage of the micro-cannula:
- Little to no bruising
- Considerably less discomfort
- Minimal if any downtime
- Single point of entry and wider coverage
- Helps stimulate production of new collagen
What to expect

The use of topical anesthetic cream, lidocaine in the products and advanced injection techniques, make the treatments highly tolerable.
Treatment Time
30-60 minutes, depending on the area and number of areas treated.
Downtime
Some swelling and/or tenderness may occur. Bruising is possible and may take days, or less frequently weeks to subside. However, most patients return to their normal activities right away.
Frequency
